Our Beginnings (2009)
In 2009, Lighthouse Apostolic Family Life Center was founded by Pastor Eli Diaz, a man of faith and vision who dedicated his life to spreading the Gospel and serving the community. Under his leadership, the church became a place of worship, spiritual growth, and family support. His passion for sharing the Word of God laid a strong foundation, bringing together individuals and families who sought to deepen their relationship with Christ.
A Legacy Continues
After the passing of Pastor Eli Diaz, his eldest son, Pastor, Jodai Diaz, stepped forward to continue his father’s work, carrying on the vision with unwavering faith. Alongside him, his brother, Minister, Isai Diaz, also embraced the calling to serve, ensuring that the church remained strong in its mission.
Seeking to follow God’s direction, the church entered a new chapter—relocating to Phoenix, Arizona, where they could reach more souls with the message of salvation and hope.
Through perseverance and dedication, the church continued to thrive, embracing new opportunities for ministry while remaining rooted in the foundational teachings that had been passed down. Today, Lighthouse Apostolic Family Life Center stands as a testament to faith, commitment, and the unwavering belief in God’s purpose.
The Apostolic Doctrine
At Lighthouse Apostolic Family Life Center, we are committed to the Apostolic doctrine, a belief system that traces its roots back to the teachings of the apostles in the early church. The Apostolic faith is built upon the foundation of the Bible, particularly the message of salvation as preached by Peter on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:38).
We believe in:
Repentance – Turning away from sin and surrendering our lives to Jesus Christ.
Baptism in the Name of Jesus Christ – A biblical mandate for the remission of sins, following the commandment given in Acts 2:38.
The Infilling of the Holy Spirit – A supernatural experience where believers receive the Holy Ghost, evidenced by speaking in tongues, just as it happened in the book of Acts 2:4.
Beyond salvation, we uphold the importance of holiness, both inward and outward, as a reflection of our commitment to God. We believe in the oneness of God, affirming that Jesus Christ is the manifestation of the one true God.
Our church is dedicated to continuing the work of the early church—living by faith, demonstrating the power of God through prayer and worship, and spreading the Gospel to all who will hear. We are not just a church; we are a movement of believers striving to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit and fulfill the Great Commission.
